ABOUT ME
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a filmmaker. From a young age, I developed a passion for filmmaking, watching members of my family in the business. I would accompany my dad on film shoots and quickly learned camera and editing skills, I was hooked.
In 2016 I graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A in Cinema, with an emphasis on Documentary and Editing. I then wanted to continue exploring filmmaking around the world and ended up in the city of Leeds in the North of England. In the spring of 2020 I graduated from Leeds Beckett University with an M.A in Documentary Filmmaking.
Throughout the years I have lived and worked in the U.S, England, Mexico and Spain. Each country has helped me flourish as a filmmaker and the fire in my belly has only continued to grow.
Growing up in a bi-racial house hold (with a Mexican mother and an American Father) really helped me to see the world in a unique way. I felt as thought I was able to see the world through 2 different lenses. I fell in love with documentary filmmaking because I realized how many stories there are out in the world left to tell. Stories of people, communities and cultures. I want to be a part of bringing those stories to life and helping make a positive impact in our ever changing world.
I am now based in the San Francisco Bay Area and continuing my journey working as an Assistant Editor and Editor, while also working on my own projects and client films.
